IECEP-BoHoL ChapTeR

The IECEP-Bohol Chapter in cooperation with the ECE Society of the College of Engineering of Holy Name University conducted a Math Quiz Bowl entitled “Quest for the B.E.S.T. (Best Engineering Student Today)” with the theme “Continuing Excellence in Mathematics” last March 7, 2008 at the atrium of BQ Mall on the occasion of the 4th annual HNU Engineering Fair & Project Exhibit.

There were four participants of the said quiz bowl, three of whom came from University of Bohol and one from Bohol Institute of Technology - International College. The quiz bowl was divided into three rounds namely elimination, semifinal and final rounds. After answering all those challenging math questions, Gerson Egamao, BSECE-4 of University of Bohol emerged as the champion. Next in place was Teodulo Geangan Jr., BSECE-4 also from the same school. The 2nd placer was Margarito Acaso Jr. of BIT-IC. The champion received a 4 GB flash drive, the 1st placer with 2 GB flash drive and the 2nd placer with 1 GB flash drive. They also received trophies.

Engr. Jerome Auza of the auza.net was the quizmaster and Engr. Ian Samonte of COE-HNU was the consultant of the aforesaid competition. The event was sponsored by Auza.net, PERCDC Review Center, Excel First Review Center, Mr. Jhun Advetising, Egay’s petshop, Supercarp Boat Rental and Riverwatch Floating Restaurant.
